Dakota State Line Regional Alliance Champion Community

2004 was an eventful year for the communities involved in the Dakota State Line Regional Alliance. With major development projects in some counties, job retention projects in several communities, and further assurance of the area maintaining its status as having excellent health care facilities, due to a hospital expansion in one community and plans for a new hospital in another community of the DSLRA. There also were some major expansions of existing business which helped to create more jobs and further stimulate the local economies of the surrounding area. We continue to improve the quality of life of the area by supporting projects like the new and updated swimming pools, the city parks and stroll zone areas, local ambulances and fire departments, and the all important infrastructure improvements that will support our communities development and growth far into the future. VISION:

Our vision is to be a progressive rural area whose individual entities work cooperatively and successfully to stop out-migration of our work force while maintaining and enhancing our quality of life; to identify and develop opportunities that create a healthy business climate and utilize our deep- rooted work ethic, educated youth, and existing workforce; and to stimulate commercial, industrial, service sector, and residential growth and development through support of entrepreneurship, value-added agriculture, and use of our natural and renewable resources.
